Dr. Michael Lichtenberg is the Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Angiology Department and Vascular Center at the Arnsberg Clinic in Germany. He earned his medical degree from Heinrich-Heine Medical University in Düsseldorf and furthered his studies at Tulane University and the Texas Heart Institute. With 20 years of experience in endovascular interventions, Dr. Lichtenberg has served as Managing Director of the German Society for Angiology since 2017 and was President from 2020 to 2022. His clinical interests include deep venous intervention, peripheral artery disease, thrombosis, and atherosclerosis, with a focus on evaluating new devices and techniques for peripheral artery disease.

With 24 years of extensive experience in the medical device industry, Mustafa Karakaya has been a driving force behind the development of advanced technologies in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease products. His career began in 2000, focusing on the design and production of coronary stents, and he has since expanded his expertise across a wide range of medical device innovations.
Mustafa has led major R&D initiatives, playing a pivotal role in the development of drug-coated stents, PTA balloon catheter delivery systems, and self-expandable stents. His technical proficiency covers medical tubing extrusion, as well as the use of materials such as nitinol, cobalt, and steel alloys, enabling him to design and manufacture cutting-edge products that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Throughout his career, Mustafa has held key leadership positions in prominent medical device companies, managing complex projects from concept to market. His expertise in both product innovation and manufacturing processes has enabled him to streamline operations, reduce costs, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality medical devices.
Since 2017, Mustafa has been overseeing technical procedures at WeMed Technologies, leading the development of new products and ensuring the smooth execution of technical operations. His technical skills and leadership have contributed to the company’s ability to implement technological innovations and improve operational efficiency.

Andreas Walkenhorst, born in 1965, is a founding partner of TERGAU & WALKENHORST. He graduated in physics, specializing in lighting technology and solid-state physics, and completed his doctorate at the Technical University of Darmstadt in superconductivity and magnetism. After a research stay at the University of Maryland, he trained as a patent engineer and attorney at Siemens AG, focusing on fossil and nuclear power plant technology. Andreas joined Tergau & Pohl in 2000, co-founding TERGAU & WALKENHORST in 2011, where he now manages the Frankfurt am Main office.

Osman Altinisik, with a background in business management, has experience in finance, development, and strategy consulting. At WeMed, he oversees business development and external communication, including stakeholder engagement and partnership development. He also advises the owners on funding, development strategies, and relationship management.

Yusuf Karabulut studied psychology and has provided consultancy and mentoring services to various companies. Since joining WeMed in 2017, he has played a key role in developing and managing quality management systems. Yusuf is responsible for overseeing the quality management systems and strategic human resources structuring for ongoing projects at WeMed, ensuring the company consistently meets and exceeds quality standards.
