Drug-coated balloons (DCBs) have shown significant promise as an alternative to standard PTA for treating most peripheral artery lesions, regardless of their complexity or location. Multiple studies have demonstrated that DCBs can improve patency rates over the mid- and long-term, making them a valuable tool in vascular interventions.

With our Drug Transfer Balloon Catheter System (DTB), we address many of these challenges by minimizing human interaction and ensuring consistent, controlled therapy across all lesion types. Our technology is designed to create an isolated treatment area, which allows precise drug delivery directly to the target site with controlled pressure. This approach reduces the variability often seen with DCBs, leading to more reliable therapeutic outcomes. By providing a consistent application method, we also aim to eliminate systemic drug exposure and downstream effects while improving safety and efficacy in vascular treatments.

In essence, our system offers a refined solution that not only maintains the benefits of DCBs but also addresses their inherent limitations, bringing a new level of precision and effectiveness to the treatment of peripheral artery disease.
